IIPE Chemistry Professor Recruitment The Institute invites applications from Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizens of India, possessing an excellent academic track record, commitment to top quality teaching and proven credentials for carrying out outstanding research and development for its various Departments.
IIPE invites applications from Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and
Overseas Citizens of India (OCI)*, who are exceptionally bright and motivated, with an
established record of independent, high-quality research and commitment to teaching, for
the positions of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor at IIPE in the
chemistry department.

Job Title: Associate Professor
Salary: As per 7th CPC, the minimum pay to be fixed at Rs. 1,39,600 p.m. (Pay Matrix level 13A2) along with other allowances as per IIPE norms.
Qualification: The candidate must have PhD with First Class or equivalent at the
preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a consistently good academic record
throughout.
Experience: A minimum of 6 years teaching/research/professional experience, of which 3
years should be at the level of Assistant Professor, Senior Scientific Officer/Senior Design
Engineer in a research organization or industry.
Age: Candidates should be preferably below 45 years of
age.Incentives for Pursuing Excellence in Teaching and Research
- Innovative Research Grant under the Institute Research Grant (IRG) will be provided
to new faculty members upto a maximum of Rs. 25 Lakhs for equipment and infrastructure and an additional Rs. 3 Lakhs for consumables, contingency and travel as per norms of the institute. - A Cumulative Professional Development Allowance (CPDA) of Rs. 3 lakhs for every
block period of 3 years (Rupees one lakh per year) may be made available to every member of the faculty on a reimbursable basis to meet the expenses for participating in both national and international conferences, paying the membership fee of various professional bodies and contingent expenses. - An additional amount of Rs. 50,000/- is given to a faculty member for attending
conferences abroad who is a Principal Investigator of a Sponsored Project amounting to at least Rs. 15 lakhs and has at least three published papers in refereed journals in the
preceding three years. - Reimbursement of relocation charges within India / abroad of up to Rs. 1,50,000/-
to the faculty members at the time of their joining as per the norms of IIPE. - The interest-free soft advance of Rs. 50,000/- to the newly recruited faculty members.
- An honorarium of Rs. 15,000/- per month to the faculty members who are the S.S.
Bhatnagar awardees OR who is Fellow of at least two National Academies. - Transport Allowance and reimbursement of Telephone bills options. 1500/- per month
as per rules. - Free local telephone facility in the Department.
- Children Education Allowances (CEA) / LTC facility as per Government of India rules.
- Medical Allowances for self and other dependent family members will be provided as
per Institute rules.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- Minimum requirement of experience may be relaxed in respect of outstanding
candidates. - Degree obtained by the candidate should have been awarded by a recognized
University / Institute. - Mere eligibility shall not vest any right on any candidate for being called for interview.
The decision of the Institute in all matters will be final. No correspondence will be
entertained from the candidates in connection with the process of selection/interview. - The Institute reserves the right to call for interview only those candidates shortlisted
on the basis of their qualification, experience, research and publication records and
departmental/specialization requirement, interaction session arranged by IIPE, etc. - Candidates staying abroad are required to at least attend in person for one of the
Interaction or Final interview when he/she asks to attend by Skype or video conferencing interview for one of them. Preferably he/she has to attend in person for the final interview if called for. - A person working in Govt. Organization / Autonomous Bodies / PSUs etc. will be
required to produce the No Objection Certificate before the interview or should send his / her application through proper channel also. - The Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all the posts advertised.
- Persons employed in Government organizations / quasi-government organizations
should submit their application through proper channel. - Travel support to the extent of 2nd AC train fare or actual expenditure whichever is less by the shortest route within India will be reimbursed. Those who are shortlisted for
the final interview may be paid Airfare (Economy) by the shortest route within India for attending the final interview. - Canvassing in any manner may entail disqualification of the candidature.
- Any dispute with regard to the selection/recruitment process will be subject to the
Courts / Tribunals having jurisdiction at Visakhapatnam only. - Candidates possessing requisite qualification & experience are required to apply
