Job Title: Associate, Innovation Hub, R&D

Professional Qualifications/Experience

• Master’s degree/PhD in the field of Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry
• Strong Chemistry background from an institution of repute (IIT/ICT/UDCT/Jadavpur Univ/NIPER, DIPSAR, BHU)
• Proven track record of successful delivery of technical projects in an FMCG company.
• 4-6 years of Strong formulation expertise and understanding of raw material chemical interactions.
• Experience with, and understanding of the chemistry of surfactants/detergents/bleach and basic micro efficacy methodologies used to support product and new claims development.
•  Interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment, including cross-functional Project Teams involving members from Marketing, Supply, Manufacturing as well as R&D.
• Strong understanding of the product development process from concept ideation to launch.
• Proven Project Management skills.
• Excellent Organizational and Problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to nurture teamwork and foster an environment of achievement.
• The ability to think laterally to apply novel solutions and supporting justifications to challenging problems or situations.
• Result-oriented and self-motivating.
• Excellent networking and communication skills to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams and to provide feedback to cross-functional and cross-cultural project teams or immediate supervisor.
• Timely execution of multiple project objectives within established timelines.
• Ability to display a degree of flexibility and adapt effectively to change.
• Proven people management and people development skills.
•  Perform other assignments as delegated by immediate Supervisor.
• Proficient with common software including MSOffice Software applications.

Job Description

• Utilize formulation skills and technical expertise to develop new products, technologies and benefits to address relevant consumer needs in support of brand initiatives.
• Lead and advance multiple projects through the product development process as R&D representative.
• Execute claim substantiation in support of new product and claims development.
• Develop technical product strategies to support product development and short-term and long-term innovation.
• Collaborate with Marketing to develop, prioritize and execute project portfolio.
• Technical problem solving and troubleshooting when required ensuring issues are addressed without delay to projects.
• Incorporate Category Quality requirements into plans, ensuring compliance within the team.
• Enforce quality mind by ‘Right first-time’ practice for working in the area by following documented procedures & follow good documentation practice
• Be aware, accountable for safety, health & environment in the workplace all time to ensure free accident & good environment area of working
•  Foster personal development growth with continuous coaching and feedback on career development as per the R&D Guiding Principles and Corporate Core Values.
• Effectively develop and supervise assigned talent and prioritize resources to effectively advance assigned activities and projects.
