Position Title: Associate Scientist
Job Purpose (Describe briefly, why this position exists):
Pre-formulation and formulation development at pre-clinical and clinical stages
Position level: 8-I
Function: PD-Biopharmaceutics (BPH)
Reports to (Designation): Senior Research Scientist
Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities (Describe in bullet points, the duties and tasks of this position)
- Physicochemical properties assessment and pre-formulation studies for new chemical entities (NCEs)
- Formulation development and support for pre-clinical pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacology (PD) and toxicology (safety) studies
- Oral drug product development for clinical studies including solution, suspension, tablet and capsule
- Good knowledge/ understanding on the solid-state characterization of drug substances
- Handling and good knowledge of basic analytical tools/ instruments, used in drug discovery and formulation development work
- Record, summarize and present experimental data/ results and report writing
- Good working knowledge on MS office and basic scientific software/ tools, used in drug discovery and formulation development work

M. Pharm or M.S. in Pharmaceutics/ Pharmaceutical Technology/ Industrial Pharmacy with 3 – 5 years relevant industrial experience
