(A) JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS (WITH OWN FELLOWSHIP)
Position 1
Job Title: Junior Research Fellow

Age limit – 28 Years
Duration of the project – Three years
Qualifications M.Sc in Chemistry (General / Organic / Inorganic / Physical / Others) from a recognized University / Institute and
(ii) having their own fellowship granted by CSIR/UGC/DBT/DST/ICAR/ICMR or other funding agencies.
Fellowship – As per fellowship awarding agency
Position 2
(B) FELLOWSHIPS UNDER EXTERNALLY FUNDED PROJECTS AT CIAB, MOHALI
Job Title: Junior Research Fellow
Project Title: “BRICS technology platform for integrated bioprocessing of agricultural residues for eco-sustainable production of biofuels and by-products”.
Funded By – Department of Science and Technology (Govt. of India)

Age limit– 28 Years for Junior Research Fellow 35 Years for
Research AssociateProject Coordinator – Dr. Sudesh Kumar, Scientist-F, CIAB
Fellowship – Rs. 31,000/- + (16% HRA or Hostel Facility, if available) per month for first two years Rs. 35,000/- + (16% HRA or Hostel Facility, if available) per month for third year
Qualifications –
(i) M.Sc. in Chemistry (General / Organic / Inorganic / Physical / Others) from a recognized University/ Chemical Engineering / any other chemical subject
(ii) NET / GATE / any other relevant equivalent nature of test qualified.
Tenure of Fellowship – Initially one year, renewable for the subsequent years based on satisfactory performance but in no case beyond three years or cessation of operation and/or funding of the project by the project funding agency, whichever is earlier.
(C) FELLOWSHIPS FUNDED BY CIAB FOR INTERNAL R&D PROJECTS/ACTIVITIES
Job Title: Research Associate – One position
Age limit – 35 Years
Fellowship – Rs. 47,000/- per month + (16% HRA as admissible or Hostel facility, if available)
Tenure – One Year, extendable (post-evaluation) for subsequent years subject to satisfactory progress, institutional needs and financial provisions.
Qualifications – Ph.D. in Chemistry (Organic/Inorganic/Physical/Material)
from a recognized University/Institute and having at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Preferences –
i) Ph.D. thesis related to synthesis and characterization of materials.
ii) At least one year post-doctoral experience. Assignment – Synthesis of carbon aerogel and silica aerogel materials from agricultural biomass and their applications towards as support for metal catalysts and as absorbents for the removal of VOC/organic
solvents/heavy metals, etc.

The duly filled application form must be submitted at the time of the registration from 09:00 AM to 10:30 AM on 31-05-2019. The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates would not be interviewed.
