Ph.D. fellowship in Pharmacovigilance @ University of Copenhagen

The Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology is offering a three-year Ph.D. fellowship in Pharmacovigilance. Ph.D. fellowship in Pharmacovigilance @ University of Copenhagen.

Eligibility:

  • Obtained a Master degree in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, medicine, public health, statistics or a related area prior to the starting date.
  • Fluency in English and excellent communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

We’re searching for an extremely motivated candidate with a background in pharmaceutical sciences or a different subject area associated with this undertaking. Previous practical experience with qualitative study in pharmaceutical sciences, drug utilization, pharmacovigilance or pharmacoepidemiology will be considered strong assets for your candidate. Broad knowledge of medications, pharmacotherapy, and negative consequences, and understanding of health enroll data will be regarded as a benefit. The preferred candidate must have experience with statistical analysis software such as SAS or Stata. The candidate ought to be enthusiastic about working in a collaborative research environment and become really interested in pharmacovigilance and pharmacoepidemiology. A management team is going to be joined to the Ph.D. project, however, the candidate is expected to have the ability to work independently on the job and bring about ideas to this job as well as the research

program.

Job Description:

  • Write scientific articles and the Ph.D. thesis on the grounds of your research project.
  • Complete Ph.D. courses or another equivalent education corresponding to approx. 30 ECTS points.
  • Obtain experience with teaching or other types of dissemination related to your Ph.D. project.
  • Participate in the undergraduate teaching of students in pharmaceutical sciences.
  • Participate in national and international congresses and scientific meetings.
  • Stay at an external research institution, preferably abroad.

Key criteria for the assessment of applicants 
  • Professional qualifications relevant to the Ph.D. programme.
  • Relevant work experience.
  • Previous publications.
  • Experience in conducting independent quantitative research using statistical software.
  • The grade point average achieved.
  • Other professional activities.
  • Language skills.
  • The successful applicant is also required to be enterprising and to possess good interpersonal skills.
Terms of employment 
The position as a Ph.D. fellow is available for a 3-year period.

 

Salary: Salary and other terms and conditions of appointment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or other relevant professional organizations. Depending on seniority, the monthly salary begins around DKK 26,754 (approx. 3,588 EUR) (taxable) plus pension.
