Job Description
Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a QA Specialist to join our Resource Group Team at our Mumbai office. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Quality division at the Ambernath site (on-site job). This position will report to the QA/QC Manager. The primary role of this position within Aquarius Ambernath, India is to manage, maintain and continually improve the Aquarius Quality Management System while safeguarding alignment with applicable ISO standards, EXCiPACT and regulatory requirements, compendial requirements, Ashland objectives and customer needs. Maintains site certifications as appropriate (i.e. ISO, EXCiPACT, FSSC, Organic, Kosher, Halal, etc.).
Key Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and improving the site’s Quality Management System.
- Preparing, reviewing and updating SOPs and quality documents.
- Supporting ISO 9001, cGMP and regulatory compliance activities.
- Investigating customer complaints, deviations and out-of-specification (OOS) results.
- Conducting internal audits and supplier risk assessments.
- Managing product stability programmes and validation activities.
- Reviewing batch records and supporting product release through SAP and iLIMS.
- Maintaining Halal, Kosher and other applicable certifications.
- Monitoring quality metrics, data integrity and laboratory compliance.
- Supporting regulatory documentation, equipment qualification and quality improvement activities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: BSc in Chemistry or Biology, or equivalent years of experience.
- Experience: 3–5 years of Quality Assurance experience in a regulated industry.
Required Skills
Candidates should possess:
- Knowledge of cGMP, GLP and laboratory safety.
- Understanding of Quality Management Systems and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with quality documentation, audits and investigations.
- Familiarity with SAP and iLIMS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret, analyse and report data.
- Good teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
