Job Purpose
- Development of colour formulations for the International A&SC BU Global market as an AkzoNobel Junior Colour Specialist.
- To undertake projects in the Colour Development Centre with creative and innovative ideas.
Responsibilities
- Develops solid colour formulas independently and interprets intermediate results from colour measurements, formula calculations, and sprayed formula.
- Meets precautionary measures in business proceedings where risks are present regarding HSE&S aspects.
- Additionally, suggests improvements for methods, tools, and software.
- Responsible for the correctness of the delivered formula, including technical, visual, and measured requirements.
- Furthermore, reports the progress status of colour formulas in development.
- Handles Troy complaint FD activities and provides project support.
- Moreover, mentors trainees and junior colour matchers.
Requirements
- B.E., B.Tech (Chemical), or M.Sc. (Chemistry).
- 1 – 4 years of experience in the Colour Development domain.
- Basic knowledge of coatings chemistry/polymers/reaction mechanisms.
- In-depth knowledge of the colour process and colourimetry.
- Certification: Colour matcher C or B.
- Proactive, quick learner, self-motivated, and passionate about delivering results on time.
- Excellent English communication skills are a MUST.
- Ability to work under pressure with excellent multitasking skills.
