About BRIC-NABI

BRIC-National Agri-Food and Biomanufacturing Institute (BRIC-NABI) is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. It aims to catalyze the transformation of the Agri-food sector in India by being a nodal organization for knowledge generation and translational science leading to value-added products based on Agri-Food biotech innovations for improved household nutritional security. Since its inception in 2010, BRIC-NABI has been involved in research activities for bio-fortification, the development of designer crops for improved nutrition, and the development of evidence-based functional foods to counter malnutrition. The food and nutritional biotechnology division at BRIC-NABI requires research personnel purely on a temporary basis.

Job Description

The Junior Research Fellow will engage in research focusing on biosensor development and aptamer selection. This BRIC-NABI JRF recruitment is temporary and is subject to satisfactory progress and institutional needs. Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field and have qualified in national-level tests such as NET or GATE.

Responsibilities

  • Work on biosensor development and aptamer selection.
  • Conduct experiments and maintain laboratory records.
  • Assist in research projects as assigned by the principal investigator.
  • Participate in data analysis and interpretation.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry (Organic/Physical/Materials/Medicinal/Pharmaceutical), Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Microbiology, Food Technology, or related fields.
  • NET/GATE qualified or equivalent national-level test.
  • Experience in aptamer selection and knowledge of microscopy techniques is desirable.
