Job Description

As part of Syngene careers in process research and development, the Process Development Scientist will be responsible for conducting experiments and providing scientific leadership in the laboratory. The role involves managing resources effectively to ensure productivity and quality while developing safe and scalable chemical processes. The successful candidate will lead development programs, prepare research reports, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform experiments targeting 1-2 experiments per working day in the lab.
  • Manage resources to ensure productivity and quality of development work.
  • Provide creative solutions to technical problems based on fundamental scientific principles.
  • Develop inherently safe and cost-effective chemical processes suitable for manufacturing.
  • Encourage automation and best scientific practices in the team.
  • Lead development programs with minimal direction from customers.
  • Prepare quality weekly research and development reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and data integrity standards.

Eligibility Criteria

  • PhD in Organic Chemistry from a premier institute in India or abroad.
  • 2-3 years of post-doctoral experience.
  • 2-6 years of experience in the process research industry, preferably in contract research.
