Program Description
The WEnyan Scholarship Program supports women in chemistry and allied disciplines who wish to
pursue research or entrepreneurship. Its focus areas include Basic Chemistry, Speciality Chemicals, Agrochemicals, New Materials, Pharmaceuticals, Medicinal Chemistry, Sustainability, and related fields. Selected candidates can participate in laboratory research projects or receive prototyping support for an early-stage entrepreneurial idea.Scholarship and Grant Details
Final-Year Undergraduate Students
- Eligible degrees: B.Sc., B.Tech., B.Pharm., or an equivalent degree
- Opportunity: Research project in a laboratory
- Duration: Three months
- Scholarship: ₹10,000 per month
Final-Year Postgraduate Students
- Eligible degrees: M.Sc., M.Tech., M.Pharm., or an equivalent degree
- Opportunity: Research project in a laboratory
- Duration: Six months
- Scholarship: ₹15,000 per month
Graduates and Postgraduates Pursuing Entrepreneurship
- Eligible qualifications: Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant discipline
- Opportunity: Development of an early-stage entrepreneurial idea
- Duration: Six months, extendable by three months
- Prototyping grant: Up to ₹2 lakh
