Job Description
Nature Communications is a premier multidisciplinary Open Access journal that publishes high-quality scientific research. The role of Associate/Senior Editor is suited for scientists with expertise in materials science or inorganic materials chemistry, focusing on the design, synthesis, and characterization of inorganic functional
materials. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of advanced materials characterization techniques and ideally have experience with computational methods and data-driven approaches.Responsibilities
- Handle original research papers, overseeing the editorial process, including manuscript selection and peer review.
- Make well-reasoned editorial decisions based on expert advice.
- Determine the representation of subjects in the journal.
- Liaise with editors from other journals within the Nature family and the international scientific community.
- Attend conferences and visit research institutions.
Eligibility Criteria
- A PhD (or equivalent) in inorganic materials chemistry, materials science, or a closely related discipline.
- Some postdoctoral research experience is preferred but not essential.
- A passion for science and a desire to learn more across various scientific fields.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English (written and spoken).
