Advertisement for the post of Research Associate (RA)
Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate (RA) at IIT Hyderabad (IITH) in a Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Government of India, sponsored project, under DIA-COE IIT(BHU) Varanasi, titled “Indigenous Development of Large Scale (100 kg) Inert Gas Atomizer” sanctioned for
a total duration of 3 years. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.Principal Investigator

- Name of Position: Research Associate (RA)
- Number of Positions: 01
- Duration of the Position: Initially for 01 year but extendable up to 3 years or the duration of the project, whichever is earlier, based on the performance.
- Emoluments: RA-I: Rs. 58,000 pm for 1st and 2nd year. Convertible to RA-II: Rs. 61,000 pm for 3rd Year. HRA as per GOI norms will be additional.
- Educational Qualifications: PhD in Metallurgical Engineering/Materials Science and Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineering OR ME/MTech in the above-mentioned branches with 3 years of research, design and development experience after ME/MTech.
- Desirable qualifications: Research experience in Powder metallurgy, Additive Manufacturing, Gas Atomization, Microstructural characterization, Superalloys, Advanced materials, Modeling and Simulation.
- Age Limit: Upper age limit – 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per the Government rules.

1. The PI has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for an interview to a reasonable limit based on qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. PI reserves the right to fill the position only if a suitable candidate is found.
2. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The date of the interview will be communicated via email. No TA/DA will be paid if called for an interview. The candidate is expected to join within a month, if selected.
3. All original certificates need to be presented at the time of the interview for verification.
