ADVERTISEMENT FOR JRF UNDER ANRF SPONSORED PROJECT
Applications are invited for one (01) temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). This role is under an ANRF-sponsored research project entitled “Dynamic Research Ecosystem for Advanced Materials (DREAMS)” under the PAIR scheme on a purely temporary (co-terminus with the project) basis for candidates fulfilling the following eligibility criteria:
Post Details and Essential Qualifications:
- Post Name: JRF
- Essential Qualification:
- M. Tech. in Chemical/Material Science/Nanoscience & Nanotechnology with at least 55 % marks. OR M. Sc. degree in Chemistry/Physics/Materials Science/Nanoscience & Nanotechnology with at least 55 % marks.
- Having qualified for:
- NET-CSIR/UGC lectureship (Asst. Prof.) & Ph. D.
- Valid GATE score.
- Selection process through National level examinations conducted by the Central Govt. Depts and their agencies, institutions, or any other national fellowship.
- Desirable Job Requirements:
- Candidates with demonstrable knowledge and experience in advanced materials and characterization.
- Candidates with experience in dealing with optics or optical instrumentation (lab set-up of Optics experiment), proficiency in MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, etc., and theoretical studies.
- Design & synthesis, theoretical studies, fabrication and characterization of advanced materials and their hybrids, sensor design & fabrication, design & implementation of experiments for nanophotonics, materials for fabrication of energy devices such as solar cells & super-capacitors, characterization and data analysis.
* Preference will be given to candidates who are planning to pursue their Ph. D. with the fellowships. Fellowship holders (NET-CSIR/UGC JRF qualified candidates) may also apply directly to PI.

2. The norms & guidelines for service conditions, age limit, etc., for scientific/technical manpower will be as per ANRF notification w. r. t. ANRF/OM/N-01/2024 or any later official notification.
Salary & Benefits:
Rs. 37,000/- + HRA (as per applicable rules), subject to fulfillment of T&C of funding agency and/or rules and regulations of Panjab University.
Note:
The shortlisted candidates duly recommended by the Screening/Selection Committee will be called for an interview through email. The date and time of the interview will be intimated to the candidates through email/telephonically. Outstation candidates may be allowed to appear in the interview through video conferencing on prior request with justification. No Transport Allowance (TA) will be paid for attending the interview.
