Laboratory Technician

Essential Qualification:

i) Bachelor’s degree in biology (with Zoology& chemistry as subjects) or B.Sc. Microbiology or
B.Sc. Biotechnology or B.Sc. Biochemistry or B.Sc. Molecular Biology from a recognized
University and

Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized University or
institute;
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized University or institute.
ii) One year of practical experience in a Medical Laboratory /Research Institution.

Salary: Pay Matrix Level-6: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400

Other Terms and Conditions for All the Posts

  1. Economically Weaker Section (EWS): All terms related to the reservation for Economically Weaker Section (EWSs) are regulated in terms of the relevant government orders and amendments.
  2. Age Limit:
    1. The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the last date of receipt of application, i.e., 08.04.2026.
    2. No age relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates applying for the Unreserved posts as per the Govt. of India orders.
    3. Age relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/(Non-Creamy Layer)/PwD/Ex-Servicemen, etc. shall be considered as per applicable orders.
    4. Age concession of 5 years is allowed to Departmental Candidates and Central Government employees for appointment by direct recruitment, subject to conditions.
  3. Others:
    • No TA/DA will be paid to attend the Written Test/Skill Test.
    • Communication regarding the selection process will be done through call letters/admit cards.
    • Educational Qualifications should be from a recognized institution, and experience should be from a government-recognized/approved/registered laboratory/institution.
    • Applicants are advised to fill out separate applications for each post. A single application for multiple posts will not be allowed.
    • False information or suppression of any material information in the application form can lead to termination at any time during service.
    • The Institute reserves the right to fill up or not fill up any position at any stage of the recruitment process.
    • In case of any dispute, the jurisdiction will be New Delhi.

General Information

  • No TA/DA will be provided for attending the Computer-Based Examination or skill test.

Submission of Applications

The hard copy of the online application form, along with all self-attested testimonials, certificates, educational qualifications and all supporting documents, should reach to “The Director, National Institute of Biologicals (Ministry of Health & Family Welfare) A-32, Sector-62, Institutional Area Noida U.P. 201 309” in a closed envelope within a week from the last date of submission of the Online Application Form, positively by 14.04.2026 (for North-Eastern Region by 21.04.2026) by Speed Post/Registered Post only, failing which the application will be rejected. The envelope containing the application form should be superscribed with “Application for the post of ________________________________”.
