Responsibilities

  • You’ll be using water quality models to evaluate potential environmental effects of changes to aquatic systems for clients in the mining and natural resource sectors.
  • You’ll support conceptual model development, data analysis, and detailed numerical modelling using various software such as GoldSim, MIKE3D, CE-QUAL-W2, etc.
  • You’ll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to complete water quality assessments for various clients and sectors.
  • You’ll support with preparing reports, proposals, and presentations.

Qualifications

  • A university degree (preferably MSc or PhD in environmental science, environmental engineering, or geochemistry)
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Technical skills in surface water quality assessment and modelling
  • Experience using surface water quality modelling software
  • Ability to multitask, maintain flexibility, and work independently.
