Job Purpose: Development of colourants for decorative and industrial applications.
Business Responsibility Areas
- Development of water-based and solvent-based colorants for decorative and industrial applications.
- Evaluation of new processes/equipment for colourant processing. Scale-up of the same on the shop floor.
- Benchmarking of competition colorants
- Resolution of production issues on the shop floor by visiting the plant.
- Redressal of complaints within agreed timelines- will include analysis and correction.
- Visit DTS dealers to understand market trends and practices. Audit the DTS at dealers.
Key Performance Indicators
- Creative zeal & Scientific rigor-New colorant development and property enhancement/ cost optimization in existing products as agreed with marketing and SCRC.
- Creative zeal & Scientific rigor -Support engineering and plant team on implementation of new process/equipment.
- Standing for each other-To map products in the market, benchmark our product quality.
- Standing for each other & Audacity- Enable the plant team to produce a product conforming to stringent quality norms.
- Customer Passion -Near Zero Customer Complaints
- Customer Passion- understanding stated and unstated needs. Also, ensure compliance with the agreed processes, part of the DTS rollout
Qualifications: Preferably MSc (Chemistry), if not B. Tech (Paint Technology)
Previous Experience: 1- 3 years’ experience in handling Product development teams and execution of projects independently
Functional Competencies: Should be conversant with Paint formulations, Latest Market trends, manufacturing processes, and standards referred to.
