Key Responsibilities for Chemistry Analyst Job role:

  • Analyze and interpret LC-MS (primarily QTOF) data for qualitative and semi-quantitative chemical studies.
  • Evaluate mass spectral data using a weight-of-evidence approach, including database matches, isotopic distributions, and fragmentation patterns.
  • Collaborate with chemists, analysts, and project managers to ensure accurate reporting and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (ISO 10993, ISO 17025, GLP).
  • Document and report findings in accordance with data integrity requirements.
  • Contribute to analytical method optimization and workflow improvements.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to sample preparation and instrumentation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and inter-laboratory collaborations.

Educational Requirements for Chemistry Analyst Job role:

  • B.Sc in Chemistry or related discipline with 5+ years of experience, OR
  • M.Sc/Ph.D. in Chemistry / Analytical Sciences with 2+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Strong understanding of organic chemistry and mass fragmentation behavior.
  • Hands-on experience in LC-MS/MS and chromatographic data interpretation.
  • Knowledge of extractables & leachables in medical device or pharmaceutical analysis.
  • Familiarity with compound identification databases and relevant analytical software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data documentation tools.
