Reports To: R&D Manager

R&D Technician Job Role, you will run new formulations in the lab, test products according to specifications, support pilot trials, and help develop new test methods, quality control criteria, and manufacturing instructions for chemicals, adhesives, and sealants. Duties and Responsibilities for R&D Technician Job Role:

Run lab formulations for sealants and adhesives based on local requirements.

Document test results professionally in reports.

Set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation with minimal supervision.

Generate technical data such as weatherability, chemical resistance, and material properties.

Assist in scaling up from lab to full production.

Coordinate with internal/external units for specialized tests.

Identify product irregularities or problems and report effectively.

Collaborate with Senior Technical and R&D colleagues on lab projects.
Education & Experience for R&D Technician Job Role:

B.Sc. in Chemistry, Polymers, or related Sciences. or M.Sc. in Chemistry, Polymers, or related Sciences.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in R&D, application testing, customer support, or technical service in specialty chemicals, adhesives, or sealants (preferably Polyurethane, SMP, Epoxy, Acrylics).
Skills & Knowledge:

Hands-on experience in running and testing lab formulations.

Strong collaboration and team-working abilities.

Good verbal and written communication in English.

Proficient in MS Office, DoE, and methodical documentation.
