Job Description

The Research Associate will be part of the Analytical R&D team supporting the Peptide Synthesis division. The role involves developing, validating, and executing analytical methods to ensure accurate characterization and quality assessment of peptides. The candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in R&D and Quality, contributing to method development, troubleshooting, and compliance with GMP/GLP practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and perform analytical methods (HPLC, UPLC, UV, FTIR, KF, LC-MS) for peptide characterization.
  • Conduct routine testing of raw materials, intermediates, and final peptide products.
  • Support method validation, transfer, and troubleshooting under senior scientists’ guidance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in lab notebooks and prepare analytical reports.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and GMP/GLP guidelines.
  • Perform maintenance and calibration of analytical instruments.
  • Collaborate with upstream and downstream R&D teams for peptide projects.

Research Associate Role – Educational Qualifications

MSc / BSc in Analytical Chemistry, or related field.

Experience and Skills

  • 3–5 years of experience in an analytical laboratory.
  • Strong foundation in HPLC, UV spectroscopy, and associated analytical techniques.
  • Knowledge of lab safety, quality documentation, and GMP/GLP compliance.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a dynamic R&D setup.
  • Excellent communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, GC-HS, GC-MS, NMR, AAS, KF, DSC, TGA.
  • Ability to lead troubleshooting, calibration, and standardization of instruments.
  • Strong background in peptide analytics and method optimization.
