Job Description
As a Trainee Officer: Research Associate in Lupin’s Biotech R&D division, you will contribute to the development and characterization of biosimilars. The role involves designing and executing experiments with minimal supervision, developing functional bioassays, and analyzing data using advanced software tools. You will also support the qualification, validation, and transfer of bioassay methods to Quality Control, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize cell-based assays, ELISAs, and flow cytometry-based assays.
- Design and execute experiments independently with minimal supervision.
- Develop functional bioassays to evaluate mechanisms of action of biosimilars.
- Analyze experimental data using software such as PLA (equivalence testing), GraphPad Prism, and Minitab.
- Apply novel technical concepts in the development of ELISAs and characterization bioassays.
- Conduct bioassay method qualification, validation, and transfer to QC.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain accurate documentation.
- Write protocols, reports, and participate in scientific discussions.
- Ensure adherence to ICH guidelines and other relevant regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biopharmaceutics, or Biology.
- 2 to 6 years of experience in biosimilar development and bioassays.
- Strong understanding of receptor biology, assay kinetics, and monoclonal antibodies.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (PLA, GraphPad Prism, Minitab).
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and teamwork skills.
