Job Description:
As an Associate Editor, you will play a vital role in managing the peer review process for Discover Journals, supporting editorial board members, and ensuring efficient publication workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of science and publishing, contributing to Springer Nature’s mission of advancing discovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess manuscripts for compliance with editorial policies and suitability for review.
- Manage the peer review process, including identifying and inviting reviewers.
- Recommend editorial decisions and liaise with EBMs for final decisions.
- Provide support in reviewer identification and manuscript consultations.
- Resolve editorial decision challenges effectively.
- Contribute to the development of the journal and participate in ad hoc publishing projects.

- PhD in Chemistry or Physics.
- Strong knowledge of the scientific research community.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
