The VSSC Internship programme offers limited numbers of opportunities for Internship and Final Year Academic Project work for young academic students undergoing courses in the disciplines of Science and Technology.
VSSC Internship: General Instructions for Applicants
- The applicant(s) should be a Citizen of India.
- Eligibility for applying to Project/Internship work is an aggregate mark of minimum 60% or CGPA 6.32 on a scale of 10.
- Students who have pursued or are pursuing courses in the disciplines of Science/Technology, which are relevant to DoS/ISRO Programmes alone, will be considered.
- Internship is offered to the students:
- who are enrolled and pursuing regular on-campus courses from a recognized University/Institution in India/abroad
- who have completed their course not more than 6 months prior to the date of opening of the internship portal, as a regular on-campus from a recognized University/Institution in India/abroad
- Internship is offered for the following courses:
- BE/B Tech
- Integrated MTech/ME
- ME/M Tech
- B Sc (Physics/Chemistry)
- M Sc (Physics/Chemistry/Meteorology/Space Science & Technology/Space Physics/Ocean & Atmospheric Sciences/Atmospheric Sciences/Oceanography/Computer Science in Data Analytics or Data Science)
- Integrated M Sc (Physics/Chemistry)
- BS-MS (Physics/Chemistry)
- PhD programme (The PhD students should have completed their course work)
- The duration of the Internship will be a minimum of 21 days and a maximum of 45 days.
General Instructions for Academic Project Work Applicants
- The applicant(s) should be a Citizen of India.
- Eligibility for applying to Project/Internship work is an aggregate mark of minimum 60% or CGPA 6.32 on a scale of 10.
- Project Work is offered to student(s) pursuing BE/B Tech, B Sc (Physics/Chemistry) & Diploma (Electronics/Mechanical/Computer Science), ME/M Tech, M Sc (Physics/Chemistry/Meteorology/Space Science & Technology/Space Physics/Ocean & Atmospheric Sciences/Atmospheric Sciences/Oceanography/Computer Science in Data Analytics or Data Science), Integrated MSc (Physics/Chemistry), Integrated ME/MTech, BS-MS (Physics/Chemistry) and PhD who have completed course work.
- For BE/B Tech, B Sc & Diploma, Project Work has to be carried out as a group of a minimum of 2 students or a maximum of 4 students who are from the same branch, semester, and college. Students applying individually will not be considered for project work.
- The minimum and maximum duration for project work are as follows:
- BE/B Tech: Minimum 45 days, Maximum 90 days
- B Sc (Physics/Chemistry): Minimum 45 days, Maximum 60 days
- Diploma (Electronics/Mechanical/Computer Science): Minimum 45 days, Maximum 60 days
- ME/M Tech/M Sc/Integrated M Sc/Integrated: Minimum 120 days, Maximum 180 days
- PhD: Minimum 30 days, Maximum 1 year
- Eligibility for applying to Project work is an aggregate mark of minimum 60% or CGPA 6.32 on a scale of 10.
- Prerequisite for applying to project work are as follows:
- BE/B Tech: Should have completed 6th Semester
- B Sc (Physics/Chemistry): Should have completed 4th Semester
- Diploma (Electronics/Mechanical/Computer Science): Should have completed 4th Semester
- ME/M Tech: Completed 1st Semester
- M Sc: Completed 1st Semester
- Integrated M Sc/Integrated ME/Integrated MTech/BS-MS: Completed 7th Semester
