About FSSAI
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is a statutory body established under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, operating under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. It is responsible for ensuring food safety and compliance with food standards across the country. The FSSAI internship program aims to provide interns with valuable insights and hands-on experience in various aspects of food regulation and safety administration.
Eligibility:
- Students pursuing a full-time Graduate/Post Graduate Degree from a recognised institute in India or abroad.
- Eligible fields include Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Technology, Food Science & Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Business Administration, and Law, among others.
Internship Details
- Internship available on a quarterly basis throughout the year.
- Minimum duration of 02 months, extendable to a maximum of 06 months.
- Under the FSSAI internship 2026 circular, a stipend of Rs. 10,000/- is available for deserving interns based on performance.
- Interns will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the internship.
Steps to Apply
- Interested candidates can apply online in the specified format as per the timelines provided by FSSAI.
- Submit a short write-up/presentation in the application portal for final selection.
- All applications will be scrutinised by the concerned Nodal Officers.
- The final list of selected candidates will be declared on the FSSAI website.
Documents Required
- A letter from the institute indicating the student’s status as a student.
- No Objection Certificate for allowing the student to undergo the internship.
- A character certificate from the authority of the institute.
- Proof of educational qualifications as mentioned in the application form.
