Job Description
The Chemical Researcher will engage in various tasks related to peptide synthesis and analysis. The role involves literature searches, patent organization, and the development and synthesis of peptides using techniques such as Solid & Liquid Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS), LC-MS, and NMR. The researcher will also be responsible for characterizing peptides, ensuring quality control, and contributing to research projects through experimental design and data analysis. Among TAPI chemistry jobs, this role requires strong practical and analytical research capability.
Responsibilities
- Conduct literature searches for specific steps/molecules and support in LSR.
- Organise relevant patents and papers from literature.
- Develop, synthesize, and analyze peptides using various techniques.
- Characterize peptides, ensure quality control, and contribute to research projects.
- Develop and execute synthetic strategies for complex molecules.
- Purify and analyze synthesized peptides for sequence and purity.
- Apply principles of peptide chemistry, including the use of protecting groups and coupling agents.
- Acquire and interpret data from analytical techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS, and MALDI-TOF.
- Use spectroscopic techniques to analyze and identify compounds.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of analytical data.
- Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
Eligibility Criteria
- M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry with 3-5 years of industrial experience.
- Ph.D. in Chemistry with 1-2 years of industrial experience.
Required Skills
- Sound knowledge of Organic Chemistry & Spectroscopy.
- Understanding of ICH Guidelines and basic IP.
- Good experimental hand and scale-up knowledge.
