Job Description
The Process Chemist will perform activities at both the lab and manufacturing facility to ensure the safe transfer of lab processes to pilot and commercial scales with reproducible results. This role involves conducting experiments, generating data for process robustness, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform experiments to generate data for process robustness, plant simulation studies, and process safety studies.
- Conduct a minimum of two lab experiments per working day and document all observations.
- Synthesise reference standards, impurity markers, intermediates, and APIs to support method development.
- Ensure 100% compliance with safety, quality, and data integrity standards.
- Generate project documents such as TTD and development reports.
- Observe manufacturing batches critically and provide feedback to improve processes.
- Track impurities and highlight differences logically in studies.
- Perform literature searches using tools like Scifinder and Reaxys.
