Job Description

The Assistant Executive Pilot Plant role at ROL Lifescience is an on-site position. The individual in this role supports pilot-scale manufacturing activities, including coordinating batches, monitoring processes, and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising pilot plant operations, maintaining process documentation, assisting in technology transfer from R&D to production, and collaborating with quality assurance and production teams to resolve process-related issues. The role also involves tracking production data, supporting validation and trial runs, maintaining equipment readiness, and promoting safety and housekeeping in the pilot plant. The Assistant Executive Pilot Plant works closely with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and support scale-up initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising pilot plant operations and coordinating batches.
  • Monitoring processes and ensuring adherence to SOPs and quality guidelines.
  • Maintaining process documentation and assisting in technology transfer.
  • Collaborating with quality assurance and production teams.
  • Tracking production data and supporting validation and trial runs.
  • Maintaining equipment readiness and promoting safety in the pilot plant.
  • Optimising processes and supporting scale-up initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical or life sciences manufacturing processes, including pilot-scale operations and technology transfer.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory compliance requirements, and standard operating procedures.
  • Experience with process documentation, batch records, and basic data analysis for process optimisation and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with R&D, production, and quality teams, with clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple activities in a fast-paced plant environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Prior experience in a pilot plant, formulation development, or scale-up environment in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry is preferred.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, adherence to quality standards, and continuous learning in technical and regulatory areas.
