Job Overview:
This Govt Vacancy is for Non Vocational Teacher Chemistry (Senior). Applications are invited only from qualified Scheduled Tribe candidates of Kerala State. The ranked list of selected candidates published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years, subject to the conditions mentioned in the notification. Educational Requirements:
Candidates applying through Kerala PSC Jobs must possess:
- Master’s Degree in Chemistry with not less than 45% marks awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or an equivalent qualification.
- B.Ed Degree:
- B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by a University of Kerala.
- In the absence of persons with B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed Degree in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala.
- In the absence of persons with the above qualifications, B.Ed Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala.
- Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) in the concerned subject for the post of Non Vocational Teacher conducted by Government of Kerala or by the agency authorized by the State Government.
Note: Persons who have acquired M.Ed in the concerned subject recognized by a university in Kerala are exempted from B.Ed qualification.
SET Exemptions:
The following exemptions apply to this Govt Vacancy:
- Those who have passed the State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) for the post of College Lecturers conducted by Government of Kerala are exempted from the State Eligibility Test for Non-Vocational Teacher.
- Those who have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of HSST conducted by the Government of Kerala are exempted from the State Eligibility Test for Non-Vocational Teacher.
- Those who have passed the National Eligibility Test/Junior Research Fellowship shall be exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test.
- Persons with Ph.D/M.Phil/M.Ed Degree shall be exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test, subject to the conditions specified in the notification.
- Those who have submitted Ph.D Thesis and passed M.Phil shall be exempted from SET up to the time of exemption granted by the UGC from time to time.
Probation for this Govt Vacancy:
- Every person appointed to the post shall, from the date on which he/she joins duty, be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
