A Lab Chemist joining the team can contribute to laboratory testing, documentation, plant performance monitoring, and coordination while gaining exposure to projects and operational requirements at different sites across India.
Job Overview:
Membrane Group India is hiring for the position of ETP Commissioning Engineer / Lab Chemist. Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience in Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, ETP/STP, or Ultra-Pure Water. The qualification requirement is B.Sc. / Diploma / B.Tech – Mechanical / Chemical, while B.Sc. Chemistry candidates with relevant Water & Wastewater Treatment experience are preferred. The offered CTC is ₹4–6 LPA. The location is Pan India, as per project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commissioning and operation of ETP, STP, Pretreatment, UF, MBR, RO & Recycling: systems.
- Conduct chemical, biological and physical laboratory testing.
- Perform BOD, COD, Oil & Grease, Nitrogen, Colorimetric & Volumetric analysis.
- Proper wastewater sample collection, handling and laboratory testing.
- Maintain laboratory records, analytical worksheets and reports.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Assist in developing testing methods and laboratory procedures.
- Understand and interpret P&IDs and project documents.
- Monitor plant performance and maintain accurate operational records.
- Prepare laboratory, activity and plant performance reports.
- Coordinate with clients, plant operators and internal teams.
- Identify issues and escalate technical problems to the concerned departments.
- Schedule and supervise operational reviews.
- Willingness to travel across India and work according to site requirements.
Educational Requirements
Candidates applying for the Lab Chemist position at Membrane Group India should meet the following qualification requirements:
- B.Sc. / Diploma / B.Tech – Mechanical / Chemical
- B.Sc. Chemistry candidates with relevant Water & Wastewater Treatment experience are preferred.
