Job Description:
The Performance and Analytics Engineer will collaborate with a global team to achieve project objectives. This role involves delivering solutions for online performance monitoring and analytics software. Candidates will utilize their knowledge of thermodynamics and performance calculations relevant to various equipment in the oil and gas industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Work on software configuration of analytics and thermal performance.
- Utilize operational knowledge during project execution.
- Provide technical support to the project team during data collection.
- Review data such as P&IDs, PFDs, and design data during the project phase and communicate findings to the project team.
- Perform gap analysis and make recommendations based on findings.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and HSE standards.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1 year of engineering experience in plant operations, performance and technical departments, process engineering, or analytics software.
- Preferred candidates will have a Master’s in Thermal Sciences and Engineering.
- Technical background in the oil and gas and power sectors with operational knowledge is essential.
- Sound understanding of rotating equipment such as gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, and pumps.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, alongside interpersonal and leadership abilities.
Required Skills:
- Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree with 1-4 years of experience in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- CAT-II vibration certificate is preferred.
- Good understanding of the fundamentals of thermodynamics.
- Experience with performance monitoring software or anomaly detection software is preferred.
- Familiarity with data analytics and empirical/non-empirical modeling software is beneficial.
- Understanding of bearing vibration and experience in pump, compressor, and turbine auxiliary systems.
- Thorough understanding of P&ID and PFD.
- Process knowledge of upstream and downstream oil and gas operations is an added advantage.
