- Meeting the minimum qualification does not guarantee an interview.
- WBPSC may shortlist candidates based on higher qualifications, higher marks/grades, relevant experience, or a Screening Test.
- Interview qualifying marks: UR – 40%, OBC – 38%, SC – 35%, ST – 30%, PWD – 30%.
- Screening Test marks will not be included in the final merit list and will only be used for shortlisting candidates for interview.
- Objections to MCQ model answers must be submitted within the specified deadline after publication on the PSC website.
- Candidates securing the same Screening Test cut-off marks will all be called for interview.
- In case of equal interview marks, preference will be given to the older candidate based on date of birth.
- If the date of birth is also the same, preference will be given to the candidate with higher marks in the minimum required academic qualification.
