About the Institute:
The Solid State Physics Laboratory (SSPL) is a premier laboratory under the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India. SSPL is engaged in advanced research and development in strategic technologies that support India’s defence capabilities. Note:– 1. For the above vacancies, reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS categories will be applicable as per provision of Apprentice Act 1961, Apprentice Rules, 1992 and Apprenticeship (Amendment) Rules, 2015.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must have registered their names at https://nats.education.gov.in. Non-registered candidates are likely to be rejected. (For Diploma and Graduate candidates)
- Candidates must have registered their names at https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in. Non-registered candidates are likely to be rejected. (For ITI candidates)
- The candidates who have passed their B.Sc./B.E/B.Tech/Diploma/ITI/BA/B.Com degree in the year 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 & 2026 are eligible to apply. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination earlier than 2022 are not eligible.
- Those candidates who have completed the qualifying examination as regular candidates are only eligible to apply.
Important Notes:
- Number of APPRENTICESHIPS may vary depending on the lab’s requirements.
- A duly filled application form must be submitted by POST to Director SSPL, Kind attention: HRD, SSPL, DRDO Lucknow Road Timarpur Delhi – 110054 (in hard copy) with self-attested photocopies of all relevant documents on or before 21 August 2026.
General Terms & Conditions:
- Apprenticeship duration will be 12 months.
- Selection-related communication will be made through email only.
- Selected candidates must submit a Police Verification Certificate after joining.
- Apprenticeship does not guarantee future employment in DRDO.
- Applications with incorrect or incomplete information are liable to be rejected.
- SSPL reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of apprenticeship positions.
- Hostel, Government accommodation, and transport facilities will not be provided during the training period.
