Job Description

The selected candidates for the chemist vacancy in India at Oil India Limited will be responsible for various tasks at drilling and workover wells. The role entails preparation and

maintenance of drilling mud and workover brine solutions, addressing critical well situations, assisting in well cementing operations, and conducting gas testing. Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Chemistry and relevant experience in the E&P industry.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and maintenance of drilling mud and workover brine solutions.
  • Addressing critical well situations including pipe stuck and mud loss.
  • Assisting in well cementing operations.
  • Conducting gas testing and monitoring lithology of drill cuttings.
  • Maintaining adequate stock of drilling and workover fluid chemicals.
  • Ensuring safety and pollution control measures at well sites.
  • Generating daily well reports and addressing downhole complications.
  • Utilizing MS Office and computer applications for reporting.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in the E&P industry.
  • Age limits as per government regulations.
