Job Overview:
Chemical Engineering Jobs are available through Reliance Careers for the position of site shift officer at the company’s manufacturing facility in Indore. The role involves supervising plant operations, supporting maintenance activities, ensuring process safety, monitoring production parameters, coordinating shutdown and startup activities, maintaining shift records, and driving continuous operational improvements. Candidates will also contribute to emergency response, equipment handover processes
, and training initiatives while ensuring compliance with safety procedures.Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and follow the implementation of safety procedures and processes in the field.
- Ensure risk assessment and toolbox talk before job execution.
- Support the shift crew in ensuring safe and smooth start-up and shut-down operations.
- Assist the maintenance manager in monitoring process parameters and troubleshooting.
- Manage inventory of chemicals and catalysts.
- Provide field supervision for shutdown, start-up, and preservation activities.
- Mitigate process emergencies and manage emergency shutdowns.
- Participate in learning from incidents and root cause analysis discussions.
Eligibility Criteria:
- B.E./B. Tech (Chemical/Textile/Relevant Stream) with good and consistent academic records.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience for degree holders, or 5-6 years for diploma holders.
- Previous team management experience is required.
