Job Description
The Technician for Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) will oversee and optimize plant operations to achieve zero liquid discharge, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and maximizing water recovery. Responsibilities include operating various treatment processes, monitoring wastewater, and maintaining documentation for audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Operation of DAF, ETP, RO, MEE (auto-plant), and STP.
- Monitoring key operational parameters and wastewater sources.
- Performing analyses to check operational efficiency.
- Maintaining chemical inventory and conducting circuit cleaning.
- Monitoring hazardous waste generation and ensuring timely disposal.
- Maintaining logs, shift reports, and documentation for audits.
- Providing training on sludge handling and effluent load management.
- Troubleshooting ZLD operations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in DCS/SCADA and automation plants.
- Basic computer knowledge with at least 2 years of experience in ZLD/ETP/MEE/RO units.
Required Skills
- Problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of documentation and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with EMS -14001 Auditing System.
- Experience in effluent intake planning and manpower handling.
