- Tenure: Initially one year, extendable annually up to three years based on project requirements and performance.
- Salary: ₹84,200 per month (Consolidated, including HRA)
Project Scientific Officer (B):
Appointment Duration:
- Temporary for one (01) year, renewable annually based on performance and project requirements for up to two (02) years, or until the project period, with a maximum tenure of three (03) years.
Essential Qualification:
- Full-time Master’s Degree in Science (Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related disciplines) from a recognized University/Institute with at least 60% aggregate marks.
Essential Experience:
- Minimum three (03) years of full-time laboratory experience in:
- Mass Spectrometry
- Metabolomics
- Small-molecule/metabolite extraction and analysis
- Isotope tracer studies
- Isotope ratio mass spectrometry
Experience must be supported by certified letters from previous employers.
Job Requirements / Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage LCMS/MS, LC-QTOF-MS, and related Mass Spectrometry platforms, including instrument tuning, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and method development.
- Perform metabolite extraction, sample preparation, data acquisition, processing, interpretation, and reporting for metabolomics studies using diverse biological samples.
- Analyze stable isotope (hydrogen and/or carbon) datasets.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative metabolite analysis, statistical analysis, pathway interpretation, and advanced data visualization using mass spectrometry software and metabolomics databases.
- Establish and maintain quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) procedures, monitor instrument performance, maintain calibration records, and ensure compliance with laboratory SOPs.
- Maintain records of sample processing, data storage, instrument maintenance, consumables, service contracts, and laboratory inventory.
- Participate in user training, SOP preparation, facility documentation, research collaborations, and development of new Mass Spectrometry and Metabolomics methods.
