Job Description
This Chemical Engineering Job focuses
on supporting process engineering and technology transfer activities in India. The Process Engineer will prepare comprehensive engineering packages for process development and scale-up of batch processes, while also providing continuous production support to optimize plant performance and output. The role involves collaboration with operational divisions (ODs), research teams, and contract manufacturing partners to enable effective technology transfer and operational stability.Responsibilities
- Provide support to process engineering and technology transfer topics in India.
- Prepare engineering packages for process development and batch process scale-up.
- Optimize plant performance and production output.
- Act as focal point for process engineering research and connect with global expert teams.
- Support lab-scale process development and define scale-up strategies.
- Develop downstream unit operation competencies including distillation, filtration, crystallization, and drying.
- Troubleshoot operational issues during and after technology transfer.
- Ensure compliance with legal, information protection, and EHS regulations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: Masters in Chemical Engineering or related.
- Experience: 1–5 years in process engineering, batch processes, technology transfer, scale-up, and optimization for downstream operations.
- Language: Ability to use English as work language; German desirable.
Required Skills
- Process simulation and modelling of distillation units, heat exchangers, filters, crystallizers.
- Experience in process development, technology transfer, and scale-up activities.
- Capability in building lab process development and optimization setups.
- Strong analytical skills for process data evaluation and improvement recommendations.
