Role Description:

The role involves designing and executing experiments related to battery materials, especially PCAMs and Green Iron Phosphate, while maintaining accurate records of all laboratory work. The team member will support process development, scale-up activities, and optimization of low-carbon, sustainable manufacturing methodologies. Daily responsibilities include conducting and participating in quality control checks, preparing technical reports, and

collaborating with cross-functional teams such as production, quality, and engineering. The role also includes monitoring industry trends, contributing to new product development, and ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.

Educational Qualification:

  • M. Sc. in Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, or Materials Chemistry
  • B. Tech./M. Tech. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or Battery Technology

Experience:

  • 0–2 years: Fresh candidates with hands-on laboratory experience may be considered.
  • 2–5 years: Experience in Research and Development of battery materials, specialty chemicals, inorganic chemicals, or advanced materials is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Candidates should possess strong Laboratory Skills, including handling chemical reagents, operating standard lab equipment, and following safety protocols.
  • Candidates should possess Quality Control expertise, documenting results, and supporting compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Candidates should possess Analytical Skills, such as data interpretation, use of analytical instruments (e.g., titration, Particle sizer, Surface area analyzer, ICP spectroscopy etc.), and problem-solving in process and product performance.
  • Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D) and Research capabilities, including experimental design, literature review, and development of innovative, sustainable material solutions.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in battery materials, inorganic chemistry, or industrial R&D environments is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations and a commitment to sustainable and low-carbon process development.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of inorganic chemistry, materials synthesis, electrochemistry, and solid-state chemistry.
  • Experience in analyzing the results of the characterization techniques such as XRD, SEM/EDS, ICP-OES, UV-Vis, Laser Particle Size Analyzer, BET Surface Area Analyzer, TGA/DSC, Tap Density, and Moisture Analysis.
  • Understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE), statistical analysis, and process optimization tools.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and data analysis software.
