Application Details

Application for Engagement of Apprentices for the Year 2026-27
(Under Apprentices Act 1961 as amended in 1961, 1973 & 2014)

ACEM (Advanced Centre for Energetic Materials) is in the process of engaging apprentices for the year 2026-27. Applications for Apprenticeship are invited for one-year training in the following disciplines:

1. Graduate Apprentice (BE/B.Tech/General Stream)

  • Stipend: Rs 12,300/-
  • Qualification:
    • B.E / B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology – 05 Vacancies –
    • B. Sc. Chemistry – 03 Vacancies

2. Technician Apprentice (Diploma)

  •  Stipend: Rs 10,900/-
  • Qualification: Diploma in Chemical Engineering – 02 Vacancies

Application Procedure

  • Candidates are required to fill the Application form by Typing, Affix the passport-size photograph, and sign the application form. The scanned copies of the filled application form along with desired essential documents/certificates in a single PDF format must be sent through e-mail only to apprentice.acem@gov.in. It is compulsory to attach University / College CGPA to Percentage conversion formula document adopted by University / College along with all necessary supporting documents. The application form is enclosed herewith.
  • Last date for receipt of application: 26th July 2026
  • All correspondence with candidates shall be done through electronic mode only. Do not send any HARD COPY of the application.
  • Responsibility for downloading and printing of the letter shall be that of the candidates. ACEM will not be responsible for any loss of e-mail sent due to invalid/wrong e-mail ID provided by the candidate or delivery of e-mail to SPAM/BULK mail folder, etc.

Selection Procedure

  • The Selection procedure will be decided by the Apprentice Selection Committee on the basis of merit/interview.
  • Only selected candidates will be informed through an offer letter.

Terms & Conditions for Selection of Apprentices

  1. Candidates applying for Graduate Apprentice and Technician Apprentice (Diploma) are required to register in the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS 2.0) portal.
  2. The fresh pass-out candidates passing their respective courses in 2024, 2025 & 2026 only can apply.
  3. Graduate / Diploma degree holders who have training or job experience for a period of one year or more after attaining the essential qualification will NOT be eligible for being engaged as an apprentice under the act.
  4. Reservation will be applied as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules 1992 as amended from time to time. Applications belonging to SC (Scheduled Caste)/ ST (Schedule Tribe)/ OBC (Other Backward Classes) – Non-Creamy layer shall produce their caste certificates in the prescribed format issued by the competent authority.
  5. Selected candidates have to submit the “MEDICAL FITNESS CERTIFICATE” and “POLICE VERIFICATION CERTIFICATE” at the time of joining.
  6. The selected candidates must execute a contract for a period of one year of training as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 and rules framed thereunder.
  7. Before applying, the candidates should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned in the advertisement.
  8. It shall not be obligatory on the part of the Advanced Centre for Energetic Materials, where training is imparted, to offer any employment to any apprentice after completion of the period of his/her apprenticeship training.
  9. Suppression of facts will lead to disqualification at any stage of the selection process.
  10. ACEM reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of seats for apprenticeship training.
  11. Any canvassing or personal follow-up with an intention to influence the selection process of apprentices by and on behalf of any candidate shall lead to immediate cancellation of the candidate.
  12. ACEM reserves the right to withdraw/cancel the advertisement/selection process if circumstances so warrant without assigning any reason thereof.
  13. The apprentices will not be provided any quarters/hostel accommodations/transportation by this establishment during the training period.
