Job Overview:
These Freshers Chemical Engineering Jobs are for the role of Junior Engineer – O&M in Chennai under the Field Services function. The selected candidates will support operations, maintenance, monitoring, documentation, and housekeeping activities across utility and water treatment systems. Gradiant provides extensive technical training, enabling employees to develop competencies in process operations, mechanical maintenance, instrumentation, electrical systems, and industrial safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in operating ETP, STP, RO, UF, UV, EDI, DM, and utility systems.
- Record process parameters and maintain shift logbooks.
- Monitor pH, conductivity, ORP, pressure, flow, and temperature readings.
- Support preventive maintenance of pumps, valves, blowers, and rotating equipment.
- Assist with electrical maintenance activities under supervision.
- Support calibration and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems.
- Prepare and dose chemicals as per operational requirements.
- Maintain documentation, checklists, and shift handover records.
- Reconcile spares, consumables, and chemicals.
- Follow HSE policies, PPE requirements, LOTO procedures, and 5S practices.
Educational Requirements:
- Diploma – Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering / Diploma in Chemical Engineering
- ITI – Electrician / Fitter / Instrument Mechanic / Electronics Mechanic / Maintenance Mechanic / Process Plant Operator / Chemical Plant Operator / Other relevant trades
Experience
- Freshers (0–2 years) / Prior industrial training or apprenticeship will be an added advantage
Industry
