| Job Description | Laboratory Experience: Previous experience in a chemistry laboratory in academia or industry. This includes managing the stock of chemicals/glassware, maintaining records, preparing solutions, handling acids/bases, and communicating effectively. Computer Skills: Proficiency with standard office software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), is essential. Additionally, familiarity with database management systems, Multimedia work, and academic software used in research environments can be advantageous. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities are crucial for the smooth conduct of chemistry laboratories. The lab technician should be capable of managing various UG/PG laboratories. Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication, additional language proficiency, and interpersonal skills are vital for interacting with various stakeholders, including faculty, students, staff, and external contacts. The ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and diplomacy in all communications is essential. |
