- Name of Project: “Sustainable Microalgae–Yeast Biorefinery for Enhanced Lutein and Lipid Production Utilizing Coal-Fired Flue Gas CO2 Through a Waste-to-Wealth Strategy”
- Name of Sponsoring Agency: Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India
- Duration of the Position: 02 Years (Initially for one year and extendable based on performance and availability of funds)
Qualification
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc./M.Tech. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Environmental Biotechnology, Botany, Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline with at least 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA).
Desirable Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in microalgae, yeast or microbial cultivation.
- Knowledge of algal biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, wastewater treatment or biorefinery.
- Experience with molecular biology, analytical instrumentation, or biochemical characterization will be preferred.
- Good scientific writing and communication skills.
Fellowship: Rs.20,000/- per month (Consolidated) or as per the norms of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and Amity University, subject to approval under the sanctioned project.
Age Limit: 28 years
