Applications in prescribed format (enclosed) are invited for the temporary position of one (01) Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the ANRF sponsored research project entitled “Development of high-moisture meat analogue from protein isolated from tamarind seed and oat okara with improved nutritional and sensory attributes” under the Principal Investigator
Prof.Nandan Sit, Department of Food Engineering and Technology, Tezpur University, Napaam – 784028, Tezpur, Assam. The interview will be conducted in blended mode.Educational Qualification:
- B.Tech./ M. Tech./ Integrated M. Tech./M. Sc. in Chemical Engineering.
- GATE or NET (UGC/CSIR/ICAR), including lecturership (Assistant Professorship) qualified or National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.
Others:
- Emolument: Rs. 37,000/- (Rupees thirty-seven thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per month.
- Age: Candidate shall not be more than 28 years on the last date of receipt of application. Upper age limit may be relaxed as per the Government of India rules.
- Duration: Up to 25/03/2029 or till completion of the project or until further order, whichever is earlier.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview conducted in blended mode. In case of offline interview, candidates are required to appear before the interview board with all original and self-attested
photocopies of mark sheets, certificates from 10th standard onwards, caste certificate (if applicable), experience certificate, certificate of NET/GATE or similar examination qualifications, any other testimonials, copy of recent signed Curriculum Vitae (CV) and duly filled in application in Annexure-I. Original documents of the candidates will be verified by the Selection Committee in case of the candidate(s) appearing offline. Candidate(s) appearing interview in online mode must produce all original and self-attested documents mentioned above on the date of joining upon selection and the original
documents of the candidate will be verified by the Principal Investigator.
N.B. (1) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
(2) Those in employment or doing a Ph.D. must submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the concerned employer /Ph.D. Supervisor.
(3) The shortlisting of candidates will be based on their academic credentials (10th, 12th, UG & PG), relevant experience, NET/GATE, and peer-reviewed publications.
