Eligibility
- Students currently enrolled in full-time Under Graduate/Post Graduate courses in the respective discipline from AICTE/UGC recognized Indian University/Institute, and in the final year of their course, are eligible to apply. The internship/project work must be a minimum of six months duration as part of their curriculum.
Age Limit
- The maximum age limit for candidates applying for the paid internship scheme will be 28 years as of the closing date of application.
Stipend
- Selected candidates will receive a total stipend of Rs. 30,000/- (Rs. Thirty Thousand only) in two equal installments – Rs. 15,000/- after completion of three months and another Rs. 15,000/- after six months. If the intern leaves before completing the six-month duration, they will not receive the stipend or certificate.
Selection Criteria
- The Paid Internship Scheme will be offered to students with consistently good academic records, having scored at least 75% or above marks (or ≥ 7.5 CGPA/SGPA) until the previous year/semester from AICTE/UGC recognized College/Universities. NPOL will shortlist candidates based on academic achievements for interactions.
Mode of Application
- Interested candidates shall e-mail the scanned copy of the duly filled-in and signed Application Form (Annexure A) along with an endorsement letter from the Institute/University (Annexure B) as a single file to hrd.npol@gov.in within the stipulated date.
- Additionally, submit details in the Google Form (link: https://tinyurl.com/4jp8t4cc). Incomplete applications may be rejected. There is no fee for applying for the Internship Program.
- Applications can also be sent via speed post to “THE DIRECTOR, NPOL (DRDO), THRIKKAKARA PO, KOCHI – 682 021”. The envelope should be superscribed “Application for Paid Internship Scheme – 2026 in the [Discipline]”.
- Original documents must be submitted at the time of joining for internship, if selected.
