Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for engagement of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) in the research project funded by ICMR, Government of India, at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.
Project details:
- Title of the Research Project: Noninvasive and in situ forming peptide-polymer hydrogel containing CPP decorated nanoparticles/photoresponsive agents with crystallin aggregates disaggregating propensity for potential cataract therapy
- Nature of the Project: The computational & bio-informatic part of the project will be conducted in strong collaboration with the experimental counterparts.

Position details:
- Name of the Position: Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
- Positions Available:1
- Essential Qualification: First Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG Degrees (Computational Biology/Chemistry/Physical Chemistry/Bio-Sciences/Bioinformatics) and also qualified in national level eligibility tests (e.g., NET/GATE/GPT/DST INSPIRE)
- Desirable Experience: Research experience in Computational Biology/Chemistry and Bioinformatics, Molecular Dynamics Simulations, programming knowledge in Python, and experience in handling big data and Data Analysis, Density Functional Theory (DFT)
- Age Limit: Must not be over 35 years as of 15.06.2026. Which is relaxable for specific reserved categories as per the rules of the Government of India.
- Fellowship: Rs. 56,000/- pm + HRA as applicable

General Terms and Conditions
- The position is purely temporary and on a contractual basis and renewable each year, subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum till the completion of the project.
- The position is co-terminus with the project.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
