- Prepare and provide patent search and analysis services in collaboration with laboratory teams and intellectual property legal personnel within the Global Legal Service Center.
- Apply subject-matter expertise in physical sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or Material/Polymer Science) to support IP-related activities.
- Conduct comprehensive patent searches and analyses using tools such as PatSnap and Espacenet.
- Independently manage and prioritize incoming search requests, ensuring all necessary information is obtained to meet search objectives.
- Prepare and deliver clear, accurate search reports, including assessments of technologies and patent claims.
- Collaborate with IP liaisons and patent attorneys to support the overall IP management process.
- Identify and resolve issues or discrepancies by interpreting data and researching relevant rules and guidelines.
- Manage sensitive and confidential information, including records of invention, filing strategies, and patent applications.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal clients to understand and meet data management and search requirements.
- Participate in cross-functional and cross-divisional teams and special projects as needed.
- Collaborate with IP liaisons and patent attorneys to support and contribute to the IP management process.
- Document and maintain stakeholder instructions to ensure accurate recordkeeping and traceability.
Educational Requirements:
- Background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific disciplines.
- Strong scientific understanding relevant to Chemistry Jobs.
