  • Job Title: Quality Assurance Executive
  • Location: Haridwar, Uttarakhand

About the Institute:

Minimalist is a rapidly growing Indian skincare brand known for its science-backed formulations, ingredient transparency, and high-performance products. Through Minimalist Careers, the company offers growth opportunities in skincare manufacturing, quality assurance, and product innovation. The brand operates with a strong focus on efficacy, authenticity, and advanced skincare solutions across global markets.

Job Details:

The Floating CCP Auditor is deployed against the CM batch schedule to provide brand-side witness presence at Critical Control Points: dispensing, granulation, blending, filling/compression, line clearance, in-process checks, primary packaging start. The role is a real-time observation seat: the auditor watches, verifies against the approved BMR/SOP, samples by witness (not into the CM QC stream

), documents in the brand-side digital system, and escalates defined triggers to the Resident QA Lead and CM Shift-in-Charge. The auditor does not direct, train, or sign for CM operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. CCP Witness Presence
Be physically present at scheduled CCPs as per the coverage roster published by the Resident QA Lead, with bias toward dispensing, manufacturing, filling, and line clearance. Verify CPP execution against the approved BMR step and the brand-approved SOP — temperature, pressure, RPM, sequence, hold time, line-clearance checklist completion. Witness CM in-process sampling at the defined frequency; verify sampling discipline (sample volume, container, labelling, transfer to CM QC) against the approved plan. Witness change-over cleaning and disinfection at batch start and changeover; verify against the CM cleaning SOP and the agreed competency criteria.
  2. Documentation in the Brand-side Digital System
Record all observations on the brand-issued tablet in the company’s digital quality system — timestamped, photo-evidenced, geotagged where applicable. File an end-of-shift report covering: CCPs witnessed, deviations observed, samples witnessed, escalations raised, CM responsiveness.
  3. Trigger-Based Escalation
Identify defined trigger events (e.g., temperature excursion beyond agreed band, missing line clearance signature, dispensing weight outside tolerance, water TDS/conductivity excursion, environmental RH/temperature out-of-band). Issue a written escalation to CM Shift-in-Charge and the Resident QA Lead within 15 minutes of observation, with photograph and BMR step reference. Where the trigger meets the predefined stop-work list, request the CM Shift-in-Charge in writing to halt; document CM decision (halt or refusal) in the brand-side system.
  4. Sampling — Witness Only
Witness CM sampling for raw materials, in-process, semi-finished bulk, and finished goods; verify sampling matches the approved plan.
  5. Verification of Pre-Requisites
Verify, by observation and by checking CM records: shop-floor environmental conditions, purified water QC parameter availability, calibration validity stickers on critical instruments, gowning and personal hygiene compliance of CM operators (verification only — corrective instruction is the CM Shift-in-Charge’s job). Verify dispensing — material identity, weight, and sequence — against the approved BMR for each batch; document any variance.

Required Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Chemistry, or related.
  • 2–5 years of shop-floor QA experience in cosmetics, personal care, or FMCG manufacturing — with material time spent on the line, not exclusively in the QC lab.
  • Demonstrated exposure to in-process checks, BMR step verification, line clearance, and change-over cleaning.
  • Working familiarity with ISO 22716, Cosmetics Rules 2020, and BIS standards relevant to shampoos / emulsions / serums (depth at the Resident Lead grade — but the auditor must recognise the framework).
  • Comfort with tablet-based digital observation tools and structured factual writing.

Preferred / Differentiating

  • Prior brand-side embedded experience at a 3P/CM site.
  • Hands-on time on shampoo, emulsion, or serum lines (viscosity, phase, fill-weight, microbial-risk awareness).
  • Willingness to work CCP-aligned rotating shifts including unannounced night/early shifts.
  • Demonstrated discipline in writing factual deviation notes (a work-sample test will be administered at interview).

Key Competencies

  • Real-time deviation recognition on cosmetics lines.
  • Witness-vs-execute discipline — observe and document, do not direct. (Tested at interview via redacted-BMR work sample with planted defects.)
  • Photographic and timestamp evidence orientation; no opinion-based reporting.
  • Resilience to social pressure on the shop floor — auditors are structurally outsiders at the CM and must remain so.
  • Punctuality and shift discipline; willingness to be re-routed against the batch schedule rather than fixed shift slots.

Candidates searching for Quality Assurance Jobs in the skincare and cosmetics industry should not miss this opportunity through Minimalist Careers. This role offers valuable exposure to manufacturing quality systems, skincare production processes, and real-time quality monitoring operations. Interested candidates with relevant Chemistry Jobs experience are encouraged to apply and build a rewarding career in the growing personal care industry.
