Job Overview

INST Mohali is inviting applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) funded research project titled “Piezocatalytic water splitting to simultaneous H2 and H2O2 production.” Candidates with M.Sc.   • Essential Qualification: M. Sc Chemistry with a minimum of 55% marks and must have a valid CSIR/ UGC JRF NET/ GATE score card
  • Desirable Experience: Research experience in organic and nanomaterial synthesis, characterization techniques, and catalysis is preferable.
  • Age limit: Must not be over 28 years as on 25th May, 2026, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per the rules of the Government of India.
  • Fellowship: Rs. 34,800/- (pm) consolidated
  • Last date of receipt of application: 25/05/2026
  • Mode of Interview: Physical mode for candidates within a 500 km radius and online mode for other candidates
  • Duration: Initially six months and may be extended based on the performance of the candidate and availability of funds.

General Terms and Conditions

  • The position is purely temporary and on a contractual basis and may be extended based on the performance of the candidate till the project end.
  • The position is co-terminus with the project.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
