1. INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:
Defence Bioengineering and Electromedical Laboratory (DEBEL), Bangalore, a premier Institute of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), invites applications for paid internship for eligible & meritorious students, in the prescribed format, latest by 31st May 2026, for the following disciplines for a tenure of 06 months paid internship.

2. MODE & DURATION OF INTERNSHIP:
- The mode of internship will be offline at DEBEL, Bangalore. The duration of internship/project work training will be for a period of 06 months. A Completion Certificate will be issued to students after completion of 06 months from the date of joining the internship program.
3. APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
- Duly filled in applications are to be sent by Speed Post (as per the format attached with the Advertisement). On top of the envelope student should clearly mention “Application for Paid Internship” further mentioning the “Discipline” for ease in segregation of applications addressed to:

Application shall consist of:
- Duly filled Application Format
- Copies of Mark sheets
- A permission letter from the college (on letter head)
- A copy of GATE score (if any)
Only shortlisted candidates will be informed about the next steps. Internship opportunity will be offered strictly on merit basis (CGPA up to 5th semester) and interview/interaction, if required. Mere submission of the application does not guarantee selection.
4. BOARDING/LODGING:
No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible.
5. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE INTERNSHIP:
- Upon successful completion of the Internship training which includes clearing of evaluation of project work and submission of project report, and completion of other formalities, certificate of completion will be awarded to the student.
- DEBEL/DRDO is under no obligation to offer employment upon completion of the internship, and interns cannot claim employment rights based on it.
- A stipend of ₹30,000 will be paid in two equal installments: ₹15,000 after successful completion of the first 3 months, and ₹15,000 after completion of the 6-month tenure. Payments will be made to the student’s bank account.
- If a student fails to complete the internship or leaves before 3 months, no payment will be made, and the Certificate of Completion will not be issued.
- Biometric-based attendance will be followed during the internship. No leave will be permitted except for medical/sick leave, which must be informed in advance with valid justification.

7. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS AND DISCLAIMERS:
- Students in Engineering and Science disciplines, pursuing full-time courses from AICTE/UGC approved Indian universities/institutes are eligible to apply for this internship.
- Incomplete/erroneous application received or received after the due date will be rejected. No further communication in this regard will be entertained.
- Selection will be based entirely on merit basis. No communication will be undertaken for rejected candidates.
- The management reserves the right to change the vacancy positions or selection criteria at any point during selection process of the aforesaid internship scheme without assigning any reason whatsoever.
8. LIST OF DOCUMENTS:
Selected students will have to submit the following documents at the time of joining:
- A referral/permission letter from the college (in original) on college letterhead mentioning that the student will be relieved for internship training at DEBEL for the duration of 6 months from the date of start of internship training.
- Student must submit a valid police verification certificate.
- Undertaking must be submitted as per attached format.
- Selected students need to provide the bank details for transfer of internship amount.
- A self-declaration or self-attested certificate of medical fitness must be submitted by the candidate, clearly stating any known medical conditions or allergies. Alternatively, a medical fitness certificate from an authorized medical practitioner holding at least an MBBS degree may be provided.
- At the time of joining, student is required to bring the Aadhar card (in Original) along with college ID card for verification. They should also submit 03 nos. passport size photographs at the time of joining.
- All previous semesters marks sheet in original for verification should be brought.
- Original documents will be returned immediately after verification.
- Any other documents if required, will be communicated to the student at the time of selection/joining.
