Walk-in Interview for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
The Defence Research Laboratory (DRL, DRDO) invites applications from young and motivated candidates with the desired qualifications for the post of Junior Research Fellows (JRF) to work on ongoing and future research projects at DRL, Tezpur.
Position Details
- Number of vacancies: JRF – 05 positions
- Qualification: M.Pharm/M.S(Pharm)/M. Tech(Pharm)/M.Tech in Pharmaceutics/Pharmacology & Toxicology/Pharmacology/Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Age, Stipend, and Tenure
- Age Limit: Age not exceeding 28 years for JRF as on the date of the interview. Age relaxation is allowed up to 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC candidates.
- Stipend: Rs. 37000/- per month with HRA as a stipend.
- Tenure/Duration: The tenure of the fellowship will initially be for a period of two years, and based on performance, it may be upgraded to SRF and extended for the 3rd and 4th year if required.
General Conditions
- Mode of selection: Walk-in interview at DRL, DRDO, Solmara Military Station, Dekargaon, Tezpur, Assam on 19/05/2026.
- Candidates should send their CV (Appendix ‘A’) to hrd.drl@gov.in on or before 12/05/2026.
- The offer of a fellowship does not confer on fellows any right for absorption in DRDO. Admission shall not be claimed by any candidate as a matter of right. The admission shall be entirely at the discretion of the Selection Committee of the Institute, which may refuse to admit any candidate without assigning any reason.
- Candidates possessing a degree/provisional degree certificate are only eligible to apply.
- Candidates are to produce original certificates/testimonials and an AADHAR card at the time of the interview. Candidates are also required to produce a copy of published research papers & thesis at the time of the interview. A photocopy set of all documents with the application must be carried during the interview.
- Candidates presently employed in Government Departments/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies should send their application through the proper channel and are required to produce NOC from their employer at the time of interview.
- The decision of the Center Head, DRL, (DRDO) Tezpur, will be final in case of any discrepancy.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or joining.
- The number of fellowships as indicated above may vary depending upon laboratory requirements.
- Reporting Time is 0930-1000 hrs on 19/05/2026 for the interview at DRL, (DRDO), Solmara Military Station, Dekargaon, Tezpur-784 001, Assam.
