About the Position
Chevron ENGINE has an exciting opportunity for a GHG Reporting Analyst (S&T) to join the Operations team. Reporting to the Environmental Team Lead, this role will be based in Chevron’s office in Bengaluru.
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure data collection methods and practices comply with local, state, and federal GHG reporting regulations and standards.
- Support regional businesses with GHG assurance audits through the ability to gather information and speak to the processes of maintaining GHG data and subsequent calculations.
- Record and organize collected data systematically, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between internal teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Engage effectively with all business functions, including Operations, Facility Engineering, Small-Major Capital Projects, and Legal, to ensure accurate reporting.
- Develop and maintain systems for tracking and reporting on GHG performance and performance metrics.
- Identify and implement opportunities to embed and streamline environmental compliance activities within process data systems, for example, automated alarming and notification systems.
- Perform quality reviews of GHG data and reports on issues and gaps.
- Manage multiple projects/activities and competing priorities, including the tracking and delivery of key actions assigned.
- Growth mindset and ability to identify and articulate improvement recommendations for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental reporting, compliance, or permitting in the oil and gas industry, with preferred working knowledge of Upstream Shale and Tight Asset regulations.
- Consistent demonstration of communicating areas of concern or identification of compliance concerns with regional business contacts.
- Strong understanding and experience in data analysis tools and software, including Excel, SEEQ, and Power BI.
- Strong Preference for candidates with knowledge of specialized environmental reporting software (specifically Cority / ACTS).
- Proficient in the design and support of Low Code solutions and the ability to apply technical skills across HSE and IT to minimize technical debt.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets with the ability to ensure compliance with environmental dataset/calculations regulations and standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data and reporting templates accurately.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present and simplify findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Required proficient understanding of United States GHG regulations. Preference for a candidate with demonstrated knowledge of state regulations in Colorado, in addition to United States federal regulations.
- Experience advising on GHG protocols and GHG calculation methodologies.
- Proficient understanding of Shale and Tight process and operations.
- Strong communication skills and capable of working effectively in teams and across functions to deliver results.
- Strong attention to detail, project management, and prioritization skills are needed.
